Emma Hitt, PhD – Medical Writer

Dr. Hitt founded Emma Hitt Medical Writing, LLC, in 2001, immediately after finishing graduate school.

Emma’s PhD is in the area of cancer-related signal transduction from Emory University. She also has an MS in technical and professional communication.

Dr. Hitt has years of experience writing about targeted therapies for disease states including oncology, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, HIV, and hepatitis.

Lindy Husney, BBA – Operations Manager

Ms. Lindy Husney has been an employee of Emma Hitt Medical Writing, LLC, since 2006 and provides administrative support and operates the transcribing service TranscriptsNow, founded by Dr. Hitt.

Graduating from Georgia State University with a BBA in marketing, Ms. Husney has held various marketing positions with Volvo, Opti-World, and DuPont. She has also completed a medical transcription program at Kennesaw State University, which focused on medical transcription, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

Before her current position, Ms. Husney performed medical transcribing for a transcription company in Marietta, GA.
