Emma Hitt, PhD, began freelancing in
1999 while in grad school and has been a full-time freelance
medical writer and consultant since 2001.
Emma's doctoral degree, earned in 2001, is in the area
of cancer-related signal transduction from Emory University.
She also has a Master's degree in technical and professional
communication from Southern Polytechnic State University,
completed in 2003.
Emma has years of experience writing about
targeted therapies for disease states including oncology,
rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, HIV, and hepatitis.
Emma lives in Marietta, Georgia, with her
husband Michael, a researcher/historian and retired
police officer, and her 5-year old daughter Madeleine.

Ms. Lindy Husney has been an employee
of Emma Hitt Medical Writing, LLC, since 2006 and provides
administrative support and runs the transcribing service TranscriptsNow .
Graduating from Georgia State University with a BBA
in marketing, Ms. Husney has held various marketing
positions with Volvo, Opti-World, and DuPont. She has
also completed a medical transcription program at Kennesaw
State University, which focused on medical transcription,
anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Before her current position, Ms. Husney performed medical
transcribing for a transcription company in Marietta,
GA.
